I'm at 98" right now and am daydreaming of a 10" stretch.

What do you think?

Sweet rig.

Do you really need the extra 10 inches of wheelbase? Lookin for more performance..?

Course, I don't really need rear steer but I'm going to have it on my rig. :D

Why stretch the body? You're running coilies, and your rig isn't a DD. It's time for a 90-deg approach and departure angle!

I've found that a 5" change in WB can make a HUGE difference. Perhaps you don't need 10" because 5" would put you right at 103". 103" is a damn good wheelbase that I've seen work well on many rigs with 37-40" tires

i'm right at 104 or 5 now and like it. i haven't really seen any huge difference in performance because it has its upsides and downsides, and i haven't driven it enough, but i can tell a difference. i like it though.

for 38.5's you should be longer than 98, IMO. You'll need low-front and a line lock for the rear, to get your current manueverability back, though.

FWIW, I like the longer wheelbase rigs. My rig currently sits at 106" on 44" Swampers and works pretty well but wouldn't mind going to 110"

i agree and i also agree with elf and i also agree with big dude. even though i think the pic you posted looks cool, forget lengthening the body. i lengthened my cj5 to 100" wheelbase and even though the added wheelbase helped alot i now have more wrinkled sheet metal. not that it is that big of a deal but the greater approah and departure angles you will get without adding to the body will pay off. i also feel about 102-105 would be good with 38's. i first went to 100" when i was still runnin 35's and i have since run 38.5 sx's and now 42's. this is what i am basing my opinion on the wheelbase on. anyway...

I say keep the wheelbase the same and cut the body.If your getting up into the 42" tire range then add a few inches.Blazin

I am with toy on this one Mike. Push those axles out as far you can. Why stretch the body? (besides cool points of course....and some more interior room) :D

i think youd be happy in the 105 ish range, 10 more inches to what you have is a lot, youll want bigger tires if you stretch it alot too, jIMMy

my heep was 108, worked awesome on 38 sx's. my powerwagon is 112, haven't tested that yet ;)

i think 105 - 108 is good.
