Got this from John D'Agostini, who is running for sheriff in El Dorado County this time around. Could be interesting to attend this little Forum. I plan on being there. Don't forget to email any questions in advance... Cheers... :D:D

And I quote...

Hello All!
John will be participating in a Forum hosted by the El Dorado County Republican Central Committee.
Please mark your calendars and come support John!

The seven Sheriff candidates for El Dorado County will participate in a Carry Concealed Weapons (CCW) License Forum. The event will be moderated by Assemblyman Ted Gaines and is open to the public.
Thursday, August 27th at 6:00 PM at the Manzanita Room on the El Dorado County Fairgrounds.

If you wish to submit questions for the candidates in advance of the forum, email John Bailey at JRB.IN.ENTERPRISES@gmail.com. Questions will be directed to all candidates.

Thank you & Keep the Faith!

This is happening today. I plan to show up for a few but probably won't get to listen to everyones stance. Glenn, you plan on going?

I was there but didn't see you... They had planned for 200 - 250 people but got overwhlemed with between 500 - 600. They broke out all the chairs they could find and it was still standing room only... Assemblyman Ted Gaines & Ray Nutting were there too. Both are highly Pro CCW. All seven of the guys running for sheriff were also Pro CCW. Not much difference in their comments as far as that goes...

I see 4 serious contenders out of the 7 that were there. John D'agostini, Stan Perez, Larry Hennic and current Placerville chief Nielsen. I liked Perez cuz he's a retired Air Force guy like me. :D (and I liked what he had to say). Also like D'agostini. He sounded very sincere although he didn't speak as well in front of such a big audience as he does in person... Also liked Larry Hennic for his 'it's simple' attitude... At one point, Larry asked for all the military vets to stand up and I was shocked to see more than half the room standing... Stan told me if he got elected, he'd be proud to issue his first CCW to me. :grinpimp:

So whichever one of these guys becomes the next Sheriff, it seems you may have an easier time getting a CCW in El Dorado county... I'll be looking for a new handgun tomorrow... :D:D:D

Glenn, I didn't make it but thanks for the update. I was leaning towards D'agostini just because they are a local family that has been around for ever, glad to hear they are all pro on this...
