well my 2000 f250 powerstroke is running like crud and has no power. it is knocking really bad revs slow. well the truck buzz tested ok but 6 and 7 were low. the compression knock test 2,4 and 8. the weird thing is when it starts up it runs fine for a bout 2 seconds then it is down hill. it does this about 200 miles after a oil change just like the last time it did it which it magicly fixed itself. also it showed idm codes present and if i unplug the icp it doesn't change a thing. no clue what all these symtoms add up to.

we didn't look in to those things but i will tonight if i can get my hands on the tester again. we looked in to the hpop presure levels. the main thing i want to look in to is the fuel pressure. god these gay problem make go crazy

when was the last fuel filter change and how many miles on it?

Sounds like something that i have ran into with mine also. But mine will do it then go away. Like it did for about 2 weeks played with some wires then it has been good for the past couple years now.

I was told by a mechanic that there is a wiring harness that is just for the engine and that is what needs replacing. Unless you trace every wire under the hood for problems. The controller is right behind the emblem on the driver side fender. That is what i was told anyways.

the injector harness's under the valve covers had issues. supposedly the new ones have the problems fixed.

5000 miles ago the last time it did it
