: ProROCK Sunday
Chris Geiger 09-15-2002, 03:04 PM We had a great day at Pro-Rock today. We were one of the first on the trails so after we were done we loaded up and split to get a jump on the 8 hour drive home. We did not get the scores as there were sill a lot of rigs that ran after us. Right now we are blasting home at about 80MPH (Walker sure don’t like to drive slow).
Just hoping someone has the final scores and can post them soon.
I will post pics later...

He used to race desert trucks right? Well rockcrawling is slow so maybe he takes his anger out on the road?

Yep lots of desert racing uptill about 3 years ago. Now it's just rock crawling. He is really fast on the rocks, we completed one 8 minute section in only 45 seconds with a perfect score!
Come on guys someone must have the scores in there hot little hands!
offroadr35 09-15-2002, 07:35 PM so you're on the internet from the car? how's that work? btw i emailed you a couple days ago...

Yep, sitting here with my laptop computer plugged into my cell phone. It's a slow connection but it works some of the time.
I used this setup to upload a few pictures and sat's scores from my motel last night. I can't keep a conne\ction long enough to upload pics from the car.
Did you email my about the truck and trailer? If so I replyed but it may not have gone though correctly. This setup is somewhat unreliable sorry. As to the truck Walker is not intrested in either. He has a nice trailer allready and does not need anymore trail rigs with bodys. His next truck is going to be very custom and unique. He plans to start with all new parts, nothing used.
Lance 09-15-2002, 08:56 PM Ken Blume (Go2Guy on the BB) won first place in the trophy class. Congrats, Ken! Chris and Walker came in 4th place in the trophy class.
Jeff Mello won his fourth straight event in the stock modified class. He is THE man.... Kathy and I came in 6th place in the stock class....

Don't forget Jake Attaway, Ken's Spotter. And BTW, if you guys didn't know, Mello is winning these things with a CARBURETED motor!
Chris Geiger 09-16-2002, 09:34 AM I know there were a lot more pirate members out there. I think abut 1/3 of all the rigs there had Pirate4x4.com stickers on them.

Fourth straight in a single series never been done I'm pretty sure.
Go2Guy 09-16-2002, 07:29 PM Just back in around 7PM. Thanks for the Kudos- good to see some of you there- Mello kicked it this season and had a real class speech at the the awards.
Brad- Jake is an awesome spotter and I'm lucky to have him on my team. Looks like I've got to figure out how to get to the Nevada event. If you take the top three scores for the series (Best of four scores total) from Jordan's, Paule's and our team its a 3 way tie for first with Robbins 1 point back.
Bottom line- the top 3 of the four of us in Nevada are the top 3 for the series.
It's nice to come home with relatively straight sheetmetal.:D
Congrats to those that placed well
Moab Austin 09-16-2002, 08:44 PM damn prorocks looks alot more competitive...I like seeing the tight race..(arca is finally that way)
I have been folloowing arca so long I need to get to a prorocks race....

OT- So RJ and I are passing each other moving through traffic on the way to Kanab on Sunday night, Me dragging the Jeep and him in his Blk vette with the "FORDETR" vanity plate. There was this white ford truck with lights on top who pulled RJ over for a conversation- wonder what he thought of the plate??:D

That's OK, Ken ...
My scores were as about as far down in the dumpster as this cliff I almost went over ... :nuke:

... I was showing Jeff Mellow (middle in the left in pic) how to run over cones and which lines NOT to take ... :rasta:
wngrog 09-17-2002, 08:47 PM What happened to Robbins? He is usually at the top....
Go2Guy 09-18-2002, 05:28 AM Don was in third after Saturday, pulled into a tie with Jason for second early Sunday on the first obstacle then rolled in an off camber spot in the second obstacle.
Looked like he just had bruised metal and loss of some hydraulic fluid- he elected to put it on the trailer, maybe more damage than readily apparent. I'd bet he would have been 6th-4th if he kept running.
Don's one of the smoothest, most consistent drivers I know- I give him lots of credit for keeping up with all those levers like he does, has a good spotter too.

Agreed, that is why I was surprised to see him down so low.
Hell of a driver and a hell of a guy.
Lance 09-18-2002, 07:46 AM He didn't want to dent up the sheetmetal before RCAA. Im guessing he high tailed it home so he can repair it before this weekend.
