the steering in my truggy has been decent since i put it together,at least as decent as a stock box and pump can be with 38s. a couple trips ago it started getting super stiff after i drove for awhile, and then this last trip quit working alltogether.

no prollem, its an old pump,i swapped it for a hydroboost pump i had sitting around, wich fit right into the scout resevoir. all was good and i made a few trips up and down the street, and as i was turnin around to load it on the trailer, nothin. like someone flipped a switch. :mad3:

the the belt is tight, the fluid is full, and looks like its just sitting in the resevoir, not moving. the beast is a 77 scout II,345, gm full width axles,38" groundhawgs

perfectly possible that the pump was just on its last leg, also. but its got me to wondering... can there be anything wrong with the box that will make the steering not work and/or kill pumps? up until now only prollem ive ever had with a box is fluid leaks.

HOS lost one of his balls on the garage floor, which would make it a dirty ball.
