Very very very annoying problem...

My clutch interlock got very finicky last year actually almost leaving me unable to start the jeep. So I popped a fuse in the override fuse slot under the hood. Problem fixed (so long as I don't start the thing in gear).

Every (!) time I disconnect the battery, the override feature stops. The fist time the batt was out (back in Feb) I simply went under the hood, popped the fuse out, looked at it to see it was not blown, put it back in and wallah no more need to push the clutch down to start.

Now, every time I disconnect the batt, I go through this rinse and repeat where I unplug the fuse, try the jeep, plug it in, try the Jeep... eventually it will override the interlock but it's random - I can't seem to recognize something I've done unique that makes the override turn on. Each time I disconnect the batt, this ritual gets longer to the point of today when I replaced my starter and now after 20 minutes I can not get the interlock to override. I've tried everything..

Anyone got ANY ideas...

I gave up and used a switch for my overide. It worked fine for a while now won't override at all with the fuse. Dash switch does the job now.

But I am subscribing.................
