74 75 78 chevy help

On those years of trucks where are all the vin numbers located at? Im doing some frame and body swaping and i wanted to make everything right.

the only one i have ever found on the frame was on an 87, it was on top of the frame rail at the pside rear cab mount. you would HAVE to pull the cab to see it.

pretty sure the VIN on my 78 was on top of the dash, legible through the windshield. could be wrong though, that was a while ago i looked at it.

I think there is one on the pass side where the saddle tank is..
& driver side door jam

I would say the only one you have to worry about would be the visible one either on the drivers door jamb as previously stated or the drivers side dash against the windshield. I've never seen anyone check any other numbers anywhere else on the truck.

in 78, vin numbers in the cab were put on the dash, previous to that they were placed in the door jamb.

my 78 is on the door jam my other truck is 82 and someone tryed to steal it couple years ago and they took the vin off and took all the paper work but now since all this i got the pink slip and everything but the truck has no vin is there anything i can do?

my 78 had it in the door by the latch pin i think after that they were on the dash
