I bought a used set of 5.13's for my 14bolt from offroad design i know they are a good set and where set up properly.

My question; if there was a low chatter when off throttle after just being setup and I only drove 3.1 miles on them is it possible to adjust them at all? I am not completely sure it is the gears is it could be my tcase it was very very faint.

I could not get the drive and coast perfectly centered all 4 ways and the yukon booklet said to focus on the coast side not drive. My backlash was consistant in 4 locations .008

Here are some pictures of the pattern. In the booklet it matched up with an acceptible pattern. but I am hope someone that has set up a used set or multiple 14 bolts can chime in!

I would really appriciate any help I tryed my damdest to get it closer to the center but it kept going the oppisite way and I didn't have a smaller shim.

what shims do you have, i might have the one you need.

in the master overhual kit it came with 2x.010 1x.015 and 1x.020

is that a bad pattern for a used set of gears?

when installing used gears it is really handy to know what the pattern and b/l was when they were pulled.

that pattern shows the pinion is bit to close, but when you only have .005+/- shims sometime you have to give an take with the b/l to get the right pattern.

that was as close as i could get it cause when i moved the pinion further away the pattern got further away from the center.

yeah your right it would be nice to know what the pattern looked like before. but i don't so im guessing i just have to shoot from the hip unless anyone else has info????

I know you shouldn't buy used gears and I would not from anybody but who I did. I am sure you have heard of Offroad Design. These where in Stephen Watson's truck and I trust the work they do, and they have always backed up there parts with me. The only reason why they took them out was due he put an ARB in which use the thick gears and so they no longer needed them. To be honest I didn't want to spend 330 on gears that I would eventually like to get an arb and replace the gears anyway. although that may be years down the road. On my 60 front i just got a electrac and new yukon 5.13's.

Any idea what my Tracloc might be worth??

I bought a used Spicer gear set for my 60 off of Ebay for $60, no issues. All depends on the last looser that had them I suppose...

Side note: How do you live in the 21st century and not know what LMAO is?

cause i haven't made 2,149 post and I havent read that many either (lol). Really I am just new to this whole forum thing and every thing i know is from first hand expierience and reading magazines. The other reason is in the last 48 months 23 of them has been spent in Iraq which is not to technology or 21st century friendly.
