so as the title says i have front axle wrap pretty bad. but its only really bad when im stopping. it wraps bad enough to make the driveshaft come apart at the slip.
i just got done building the yj with dana 60's, spring over with RE 1.5" leafs, shackle reversal in the front. i have a traction bar in the rear that works very well, i didnt know if thats what i had to do in the front?? i have never wheeled the jeep with a shackle reversal, all that was new with the 60's.
i already know i need a new front driveshaft with a longer slip to work with the shackle reversal but i know it wont take care of the wrap.
just wondering if anyone has run into this sort of problem or might know of a fix?
thanks
adam

i know a ton of guys with spring over and reverse shackle with no wrap. BUT i do know that the driveshaft will come apart if too short with reverse shackle as you alreday know- seen that happen quite a bit.

i was spring over with shackles up front with same 1.5" RE springs and had no wrap, not that it helps you any.

get a longer slip shaft and run it. as long as you aren't bending/snapping main leafs.

Stiffer springs and a long slip drive shaft is your only answer. This is one of the main reasons why I hate SR.
