: Shim needed

I need a shim to weld to the inner portion of my frame to attach the inside spring hanger to. Picture a shim that is 10"x4" and tapers from 1" to 1/2"

Basically this would make my frame become square in the rear where it starts to bow out.

Am I making any sense?

Easier way to do it?

My father in law has a shit load of scrap plate laying around. About license plate size and 1 inch thick. Just an idea. :D
