I asked this in the noob section and got shit for answers. I know you can put the springs under the frame in the 73-whatever trucks. Has anyone removed the stock spring hangers and put them on the inside of the frame? It looks like the perch would be really close to the center section.

It is called inboarding. Try that in a search.

I don't see why you couldn't, but I don't know why you would want to. I think it would be unstable as hell. Maybe you could run a mono-coil?

Ummmmmm, so he could have the very sought after pogo-suspension setup. Body roll wouldn't be much of a problem either.

Yea I did a search for inboarding and it just came up with the springs under the frame and where you tip the top of the shocks in. Looks like I'll just put them under the frame. :)

Thanks.

Why would you possibly want them inside.?
64" chevies flex much farther than you'll ever need properly set up, even in the stock location. Inboarded you could get more, but inside the the frame it would need huge, or multiple shocks, and be nearly uncontrollable.
