I just scored a pair of Hoffman 2 post lifts that were pulled out of a dealership for cheap. They are screw-type, two columns with threaded shafts that are rotated to move the vehicle up or down. They are complete and solid, but the leg locks are busted/broken.
Anyone used these before? I like them because they do not have a cross piece above the vehicle (they have a step at the bottom) so they work with a much lower ceiling height, and they appear to be hella-solid.
Other than the lifting nuts wearing, what do I need to watch out for?
