I decided to finally tackle my jeep where the shock is the "bumpstop".:shaking: Yeah I know, NOT RIGHT TO DO. Anyways, I need a 5.5" -6" bumpstop for my jeep, anyone know of one that will work? None are made for it, so what's some jerry rigging I can do? I was thinking of buying YJ bumpstops, cutting off a lot of the rubber on the sides, and drilling new holes. It would work I think, but would rather just buy bolt on ones if I can.
Let me know guys. I’ve searched google, pirate, every offroad site. Some have said go with universal ones, but I don' think those will be "bolt in".
PS: Yeah I know my typo in the subject. :flipoff2:

I looked didn't seem to have anything online. I'll call Rancho and see what they can do, but everyone I called says the biggest bumpstop is 3" for a CJ.

You can use the Daystar YJ extended bump stops with a little modification. KJ09120 and KJ09121.

Is there room for bump stop risers? Do a combination of Daystar poly bump stop for a TJ and bump stop risers.
You can stack the risers and add a spacer to the mount of the TJ round bump stop. I actually cut my Daystars down to fit better in the mount and to get the most out of my rear shocks. The mount is secured with a metric bolt but if you weld the bolt head to the mount, you can use a pipe wrench to loose it. Get a longer metric bolt and add a spacer the width of the mount and the hole diameter of the bolt. You wouldn't want the bolt to shear in a great impact, would you?

they have 3 or 4 heights and are direct fit for cj's. i ran a 4" front and 6" rear on my cj with soa.
