: Which leaf to take out?

G'Day All

I am trying to lower the ass end of my 40 for several reasons:
1. Regain some caster (it sits tail high now)
2. Better visibility
3. Softer ride/more assticulation

I pulled the shortest load leaf, but that has only lowered it about 1/2". Made noticable difference in all three areas mentioned above, but there is still room for improvement. It probably needs to drop another 1" to level the chassis rail.

Which leaf should I pull next? The next shortest leaf has the wrap riveted to it so that's out. Should I take the overload leaf out? I don't have a traction bar.

Thanks in advance

Ben

Put a stock, or stock length shackle on it.

I want to keep the longer shackles for my 55 springs/SOA. This is just a temp thing until I do the conversion. Good idea Hombre.

The second leaf from the bottom (the one with the spring pack clamp) is providing most of the arch. Romove it and the spring pack will flatten considerably.

Looks like the third leaf from the top has a squared edge, maybe an added in leaf by a PO? I'll agree with Jack on the leaf with the spring clamp. Look at the arch compared to the others.

Will this also work for the other way around, droop/articulation?

TIA,
