I am stuck at the shop and can't go help the daughter with her problem----
the Cherokee lost all dash lites and indicators-

i figured it must be an instrument panel ground connection, but i don't know where jeep put it !!- (like GM is left side/end of dash , 1/4 panel---)

do any of you know where they hid the instrument panel ground in a 98 Cherokee ??????

the rig runs and such, but no indicators !-or dash lites-

Check your fuses.

I had that happen on my 88. The ignition switch was faulty, you could giggle the key and the dash lights/radio would come back on... It eventually got worse and would take out ignition too. It was all melted once I replaced it. Like $12 part. It was on the top side of the steering column down by the pedals.

Might be the same on yours.

It’s probably the electrical connection behind the gauge cluster.

That connection is a fairly common problem for that year cherokee, over time it gets loose. Pull the gauge cluster out and then slightly bend the pins outward to make a tighter connection.

...or if it’s like mine just smack the shit out of the dash and they’ll start workin again.
