Does anybody want to go run John Bull, Dishpan etc in Big Bear on Saturday Aug 22nd.

I was thinking of meeting at Jensens market then running Dishpan then across to Johnbull. If we have time we can do some other trails.

Or if anybody has any other ideas let us know. I was planning on being at Jensens market at 9:00am Saturday.

I might have to shift things around but i want to get out there.

Where are you starting at and at what time. What trails are you going to run?

I'll be up in Big Bear Lake. Are you running John Bull after Dishpan? Which direction. Hopefully we can hook up at J.B. I did Motino Wash last Sunday. Fun trail close to Pioneer Town.

we well be up there also.we will be comming up hwy 173 {dirt hwy} to upper deepcreek..we will be at the bridge at about 10 am

We will be out there. I plan on getting a camping spot at Crab flats, or Barton flats on Friday and then meeting up at Jensen's market Saturday morning. I have never runs these trails before, but it should be a good way to get out of the heat.

We are all loaded up and will be out at the campsite tomorrow morning. See you guys Saturday morning.

Wow, Sounds like there's gonna be about 200 4xs on our mtn trails. If you run into a plumber up there, have him call mike, 240-1954 cause I have a driving job for him. I mean anyone that can run dishpan springs, could lead Wrecking Ball.

We were going to camp at crab flats but it was full by the time we got up there on Friday. We ended up camping at North Shore by Lake Arrowhead.

Then we took the 3N16 across to John Bull. There was still a lot of fire damage along the way, but there were some really beautiful areas.

This Jeep broke his front drive shaft and needed some help. Everyone who was there seemed eager to pitch in and help.

On the way down there are some interesting sections and there is one place that you can roll if you are not careful. I slid pretty hard to the driver's side and scared my wife pretty good. No pics but the person behind me told me that my passenger wheel was about 3 feet in the air. Thanks to everyone I met. My family had a great time and I look forward to running some trails again with everyone.

We had a great day yesterday. We ran Dishpan then over to Johnbull from east to west. Great weather. I didn't do the waterfall this time. I will tackle it next time. After the run Robin and I had lunch and walked around the Village in Big Bear. Then we took a drive east of Big Bear and went out to the Hi Desert by Lucerne then back to Valencia.

It was a great group of people. We can't wait to get out on the trail again with everybody.

Hey everyone just checking in after a long day working on the Zuk, we downloaded tons of photo's of the run Ilda has to chime in they are on her computer. Excellent day of wheeling, some close calls and great driving skills by all. good group to wheel with at the right speed not too many stops waisting wheeling time.

it was nice meeting everyone and looks like the T-case flange held up back to camp :smokin:

The Hesperia group were really cool to chat with, hope we meet up again one day soon.

That's a funny looking Jeep :p It was actually my Landcruiser that broke. I just dropped the front driveshaft but spun the last couple millimeters of the splines so it was toast. We just zip-tied it to the frame and I drove up and out of the way. It only delayed everyone maybe 5 minutes. I caught back up with my group within a couple minutes after that in 2wd. I think it was just a busy day... All in all, it was a great day, and the rain helped a ton with the dust (or lack thereof)... I hope everyone had fun!

No worries, the delay at the start was actually nice because we got a chance to get out and stretch our legs. The rain and clouds made for a really nice day. It was definitely better than being down here in the heat.
