While we were on spring creek, Way severly bent a rear control arm. After 3.5hrs of trying to bend back his, I looked up on his rack and said: "what's that?". It was a "front control arm" for his $G 3-link. Guess what. They use what apears to be a rear control arm from an early rangie or 90 for the front arm with a rod welded longitudinaly for added strength/protection. It bolts right in!
I don't know how many people are running their three link, but it's food for thought. A "dual purpose" trail spare is always good!
PS.
You will need bigger washers if you have a white 92 county.....

I thought they looked about right! Good call...You need only cary one spare.
Of course I can't imagine why ANYONE would seriously use their rig off road with those noodles called control arms! One little hit and they fold like a pretzel.

Old 10 spline axels work well when turned into rear trailing arms. The material is plenty strong for that. :D

Just so you know, The ones off of my 89 are about 40% thicker, than the ones off of Way's 92..... Really.

Still...Box those beiatches with some 1/8th" box tubing...Or use plain old angle iron.
Either that or build some 1.75" chromo monsters...Sucks too bad to have one fail (I know!).
