In a week or so here... it's a 1990 cherokee, needs some repairs on it. needs:window motor, brake job, horn, muffler, and an a/c coil. they're asking 1k for it, but I'm gonna offer $750. It is 2wd, with an auto trans and an i6 engine in it. It will be just to do some deliveries, and to get back and forth until I buy a nicer rig with 4x4. Any suggestions as of what to do with it? I still wanna drive on the beach here in the areas a 2wd will survive at. i know a few trail tricks for the beach. I may put a winch on the jeep.

Moved to non-hardcore.

If you're interested enough in 4x4 to find Pirate, I think you should hold out for a 4wd model. I bet you can find a couple in your area within the week. Those shits are everywhere.

Just passed a 4x4 up that needed a rebuild, but was the "grand cherokee" for $400.

Pass on it. I got my 91 for way cheaper than that. Runs and is 4x4.

You can find a 4x4 for less that 1000.
Don't settle. Good Luck.
