Might think of making a couple more passes with that weldr. I can tell you that won't hold. Welding the entire four gears to the case, then putting more beef between the gears is what it's going to take. I've welded a few and rewelded a few and replaced a few and if you want it to hold, burn more rods......!

hmmm, all 4-gears are welded to the case, as well a signifigant material between the gears, and more weld on the side gears that it shows in the picture.... but information noted.

Only the sencond carrier I have welded, the first was mine, about a month ago. So far so good, but I figured its only temporary, If I like it (which I do so far) I'll go full spool, if not ARB.

I'll keep and eye on mine and his, and if I need to re-weld, so be it.

I'll lay more rod (actually wire) next time....

ARB's are nice! It's nice to be able to take the load off of the suspension and axles every now and then. With no give, I twisted quite a few splines in the rear runin 35's and broke a few center bolts but I guess mileage=breakage. I trailer mine now and the wear seems to be minimal. Also runin a Detroit.

Sorry for speaking so soon. Just saw the pic and thought I'd drop my 2 cents in. What happened with mine was I broke the center pin a few times and split the spiders a few times. Burned a little more rod into it each time till I got it to stop, then the axles started twisting. I even had the front welded briefly (what a nightmare!) Well, good luck....
