Anyone have one yet? I saw some older threads where people were talking about it.

How hard is it to find ammo? From what I have seen the online retailers are pretty much perma back ordered.

Anyone hunting with it? What grain are you running?

I am seriously considering grabbing one of these for my next black bear hunt rather than picking up a Marlin 45-70. Any info would be appreciated.

Oh, and any of you yellows sell the 458 socom upper? price quote please

Have you looked at the .450 Bushmaster and the .50 Beowolf uppers? They have support from major ammo manufacturers. the .450 is close to the 45-70 I have read.

I dont own it, But I shot one on sunday.

My buddy at work has it. He is planning on reloading due to the price of ammo. Ill ask next time I see him where his ammo came from.

He is not planning on more than 100 yards out of it, but I havent seen the ballistics tables.

Shot decent, less kick than the 7mag I was shooting the same day.

The .458 Socom is legal for deer here (max allowed rifle case length is 1.625")

Probably why I don't see any ammo in the shops.
