I know I'm gonna get flamed for asking this, but is there a way I can modify my atlas to get front wheel drive high range?

my understanding is that it is like that from AA. Can't you just put your rear in nuetral and the front in high? I know that the shifter assembly has some pins in it so that you cannot put the rear in low and the front in high. If these interfere with the ability to do front HI, then you can remove these idiot-proof pins.

Yeah, you can, but do you really want to risk fawkin up a $2000 tcase??

I asked this very question of AA about my case and they claimed that the reason the pins are there is because of liability...not because of a strength issue.

This is how you do it...

...take off your rear driveshaft! :D

Oooooh, sounds like a dare to me, get Jess at High Angle to pony up some shafts and find a fella with a Big V8, 60's, and 40's or more to toss his Atlas into front hi, rear low, and whip donuts in the parking lot until something blows! Oh yeah, and get it on video!

I've got my 205 dual sticked and you can shift if in the high/low configuration, and I've managed to do it a few times shifting it while rolling and all I've managed to do is drag the rear tires, but I've never attempted to do the donut thing it always scares the shiat out of me when I do it on accident I can't imagine doing it on purpose!

205 are easy to come by, bolt some 1/4" plate between you and the case, get the camera rolling, and get awn it! Carnage is cool, projectile carnage kicks arse!

At the last ERoCC some guy shattered a D60 u-joint and it whizzed by some spectators head 20 feet away. Guy said it was close enough that he felt the breeze and heard the whistle

That guy was a friend of mine. He is the one I posted on that is building the rig with mog axles.

He said it was like 6" from his head and he could hear it bouncing off trees behind him before he even reacted. Scared the shit out of him.

I have my 205 twinsticked as well, but I didn't do the pill-eliminate, so mine won't go into front high and rear low simultaniously, thouh I do have high and low in front and rear drive only, as well as 4high and low. I'm with bangler, let's get someone with a bigblock and some stout axles to cross up the t-case and grenade it on video!

I want it to be like 31's or 33's so it can take some abuse for awhile.....

Cmon lets see it....do we need to start a fund for somebody to do this....

OR I will ship my chance to win a shaft this month and next....jess can use that $$ to fix broken parts if everyone else does the same...

what could really break that would cost that much???

besides drivers teeth :D

c mon lets do some POR testing.....
sell the video!!!

I could do it, I have the 205 done up like that. But i think mine will just spin the tires. Seeing as how my rig is really lightweight.
