I am in the process of collecting parts to start my build I have a 48 willys CJ2A. I am going to build a new frame, stretched approximately 10 inches or so and stretch the body tub about 6". I was given a TH350 tranny but its 2wd so I will either need to get an adapter from AA or go with a divorced t case. My question is which T-case should I go with? A buddy is giving me his axles out of his 78 k-5 blazer so thats what I will be running. Motor wise it will probably be a 350. So like I said which t-case should i go with? Would the t-case out of the blazer work as long as I got the adapter from AA?

thanks

Why get an adaptor fromm AA when you could use a stock one.Put a wanted ad up and Im sure someone has what you need.

There are np205s that came bolted to a th350. There were also np203s but the 203s are massive. Personally I'd go with the 205 for strength.

couple of things to consider.

how much lift?

style of lift?

with the LP design of a 10 bolt and D44 you probably are limited on tire size and therfore lift? 36's or 35's ? that will tell alot. i thinka 205 is too big Id look to a D300 a little thinner and offers the option of 4:1 the thickness will give you a little better DL angles since you are running a LP rear end...... if you put a HP of get a little more drive line length id do a 203/205 crawl combo and stubby little driveline in a second or drop the coin for a Atlas or Stak...... big question is how far back are you going to saet the motor? how much room for radiator? alot of dimensions will help advise to the type of T-case. gearing options are key either way a round NP style adapter opens up more options than the other variables
