Hello all.

I recently bought a 93 ZJ in which the previous owner installed the Warn 5 x 5.5 Premium Hub conversion kit. The rotors are pretty much shot in this thing, but I'm a little confused on which rotors I need to use with this kit.

From what I've found searching, an 81-86 CJ7 front rotor should be the ticket, but in some Warn brochure PDF I found it said a "modified" CJ7 rotor should be used, but didnt provide any additional info.

I noticed in rotor specs from NAPA that the CJ7 is 11.75" diamater and 2.21" height while the stock ZJ is 11.2" dia and 3.19".

Does the diamater of the CJ7 rotor need to be machined down to 11.2?

Thanks for your help.

On another note, any comments on T&T Trusses? To be honest I would rather just throw a Wagoneer D44 under this thing and loose this POS D30.

i would 2nd your notion on a d44, thats what i have under mine right now and its been great, i run a 456 gear and an arb air locker. works like a charm and with the arb in you can unlock it and have your steering work great as well.

They do need some machining, both on OD and the inner "hat". I'll post up later tonight the PDF from warn's install kit. Pretty easy for any shop to do.

With regards to the TnT truss, I think it's worth every penny. Simple install with minimal measurement. When you price out what another kit costs, it's darn near close to the Truss. I ran mine in my LJ for a few months until it was totaled in a roll over. Pulled the axle and it's now sitting in the XJ i'm building.

well, i cant help you out on the cj rotors,

but i can tell you i waited a while to save up for my truss, and i think it was worth it. just drop it on, set your caster and weld it up. its so easy to put on. i got mine with out the coil pads, i made them myself to save a few bucks. i think adding the coil pads adds like $70.

BUT - i do know grand zj on here has had trouble with his cracking. although he is running tons and 40's - i hope to have better luck than he has had. time will tell i guess.
