well i guess my 42's finally did in my dana60's 30 spline outers....or atleast one of them anyway. i broke this this weekend and it took out the lockout and swelled the spindle too. i could not remove the hub from it so i had to cut the bearing in two places to get it off. also when i removed the axle shafts i found that my 35spline inners are twisting at the splines. i wish they would hurry up and come out with a good set of alloy shafts so i can get those and a set of ctm's and hopfully not break again! anyway here are some pic's

Isn't Moser advertising alloy D60 fronts now? Though I don't know if they'll take a full circle clip, (re CTMs)....

inner shafts 35 spline
outer shafts 30 or 35 spline

i have the moser units,, they can take the full circle clips,, i blew up my outer 30 spline stub,, i think the ears stretche a little cause the caps almost fell back in the snap rings had blown of( i wasnt using the full circle type) i have was at neuroc using breakdown time so i didnt bother to check to see if the splines were twisted,, i suspect that if the ear stretched out that the axles are not all that.. we will see when i upgrade to 35 splines,, but im not sure if i want to 30 spline outers are alot cheaper than 400 a pair inners.. im only runnin 38's and 95 to one i,, i figured that the 30 spliners would hold up,,, which they have,, when it broke i was a little bound up and just kept going,, didnt take much to break it..

i have not heard anything good about the moser units and the fact that they will not offer any warranty on them has me leary. this is why i stated i wanted a "GOOD" set of alloy shafts for the 60 to come out.:D

There was a post a few days ago that said that moser doesn't heat-treat the yokes, only the shafts. That explains why yours warped.
