GM 1-ton disc fits perfectly.:grinpimp: As soon as I get it installed back on the rig, I can then determine which calipers to run.

Nice work, thats a fair size cob end of steel, and will take a bit of welly.

8" x 2", weight about 35 lbs each! After machine work, it pared it down to around 21 lbs.

Stub shaft was a press-fit onto a lip in the rear of the adapter, then tig welded on both sides. Then the adapter was machined a final time for a flush face to compensate for any distortion due to the welding. Believe it or not, even at 2" thcik, there was some slight deformation to it. I would have never guessed something that thick would warp.

I've welded various bits here in the plant, and stuff does warp, theres a lot of stress in welding summat, even if you do an inch on one side and then the other it still happens.
My tig doesnt go up to the sort of current to weld that, I'd have to mig it.
