been a while since i've posted here because i have been having a trouble free time with the torchmate table. well that ended this week. i have a 4x8 tm1 about 7 years old, bought used and rebuilt.

a motor control cable shorted out. replaced the cable and powered up the unit. at that point the motor drive box blew the fuse. replaced the fuse, it blew again. called tech support and Skye suggested i unplugg the stepper drive module that controled the shorted motor and power it back up. this was to check to see if the module was fried.

well it is, and i have no other working drive module. the other two will not power the stepper motor.

at $225 a module what are my options? get a new motor drive box, replace the 2 modules, anyone have a used module?

thanks

good luck finding used parts. I'd pony up and get new ones. You could make the $$ back in work, that you would be losing by waiting around for a "deal". Atleast that's what I would do in your situation.:)

For the time and expense of messing around with it, I'd just bite the bullet and get the module as xr suggests.

Are they geckos?

As far as I know, they use Flash Cut control systems.
