how high do you need to take a tire pressure to reseat it. i lost a bead running at 10psi this weekend on bias ply swampers 33x12.50-15. i filled it up to 20 psi and all seemed well. i then decided to run them all at 15psi. after the day, i aired back up to 28psi. when i got home the next day, i was back to 11psi on that tire while all the other tires were still at 28psi. i am guessing it did not fully reseat.

you need a quick air blast at roughly 120 psi to reseat completely

i did it with a scuba tank and regulator that delivers pretty high flow at 140psi. i guess i just needed to take it higher before i stopped. then i could lower it again.

the 140 could have and should have done it....if it was a blast. if the valve was opened slowly...nope.

Take some tire lube (available from you local tire repair shop) and smear it on the bead and the rim. Shiat comes in a bucket, 5lb is the smallest I think. It WONT make the bead slip though. Then apply upward pressure on the tire, holding the bead against the rim and the slop. This will allow you to use lower pressure. A lot lower.

if you can drive on it and air up to 28 PSI it is seated, it sounds like there is something wrong with the rim or something between the rim and tire.

Make sure your bead is clean...
Its also possible it didn't seat at 100%.
To my knowledge, if you loose a bead, you reseat it, run a higher tire pressure until you get to a shop to have it cleaned out, lubed, and reseated properly. (of course you can bypass the shop if you have the stuff to do it right)
Sounds like you got dirt in your bead
If tire lube isn't available bearing grease will work in a pinch...PB blast works as well but its not recommended since it will effect the rubber.
You want to run the tire up to max psi and sometimes 10psi over to fully seat the bead, then lower it to your normal presure....

What he said.
Soap and water spray. Tells all about tire leaks.
If it bubbles beat it with a BFH. If it bubbles a ton, pop it and reseat it.
sure does sound like dirt in the bead...maybe the valve stem. Try this http://dreamwater.com/zuk/beadseal.html
