Well last Sunday was the first trail ride I went on with my new Trek 4500. It was a good ride we only did about 13-14 miles mostly rocky trials. Well it come to the end of the trail doing great, its kind of a downhill ride to the end and then a turn and BAMM the river so you have to slow down and stop pretty fast. Well this was my first time to ride this trail and I was coming down pretty fast and then my partner with his hydo brakes who can stop on a dime desided to stop at the river so I turn the corner and have to pul the brakes pretty hard during that turn and what do you know, I go right over the handle bars and into some mud. Ahh the first big bust on the new bike, from all I could tell at the time was I scrached the frame a little. Well I get home and go over the bike and find out I bent the piss out of the derailer hanger so gears where riding on top of gears. Aperantly when I crashed my bike hapend to land on a rock at just the right point where it didnt put any pressure on the derailer and all the presure on the hanger that bolts it to the frame. So after only a week of having the bike I allready have my first replacment part.
Ride on guys.
