Hey guys. I just picked up an 02 durango with a 4.7 and the electronic transfer case. Its got a problem though - it grinds, sometimes slips, and sometimes REALLY grinds. It only has AWD and 4hi/lo, so no 2wd option.

It really sounds like something is funky in the transfer case. I've read that the electronic ones can have issues, not sure if its related to that or another transfer case issue. Could the electronic actuator just not be working right and causing this?

Also just noticed that one of the studs and lug nuts is gone on the driver's front, and the hole in the rim is badly screwed up :eek: I don't even have a clue as to what would cause that - I did drive it home about 20 miles in 4lo, did not go past 30mph though...

I would really appreciate some advice, I need to get this fixed so I could have a DD again
