hey all, the puke is running and drivable. I WILL be making big dogs on thursday, i even burned a vaca day today to finish up some big items. (brakes) thecarman (aka rich) has been over a few nights helping in this last ditch effort to get it going...

here is one flex, pass side is at full droop, driver side stuffed more when i got out and pulled on it.

I was such an idiot, i tried driving up the pile and its not going. Ive been OFF the trail for over 6 months, with the rebuild and im like oh no what did i forget. I look down, drive shaft spinning (no floor on pass side yet... no pass seat anyway yet..) oh boy... RIch says, did you lock your hubs..... me, oh ya i forgot im soposed to do that... ;)

Im happy, its so rough its not even funny.... lots of zip ties and more duck tape will be added... But it should be fun....

im so happy just hear the thing run, i was doing circles in the culdesac testing out the buthhered cobbled up steering, (this trip only) manual box to kong arms with sideways z-bar to steer 35s actually not to bad going from a 5" pitman to the 7" steering arm gives good leverage, and the box has enough throw to use most of it...

things done, added since march,

toy axles, 5.29s, spool/LR, shaved rear, front knuckle rebuild, rear coils, 2-3? (you decide) link rear suspension. warn out TJ shocks (from RE kit/thanks donna !) New frame rails FW back, cut replaced losts of stuff, re-did exhaust (again) 2 cat - 2" round muffler. half cabed, tubed, and more tube.... winch, oh ya 35 MTRs

left to do, turn signals/ brake lights, sheetmetal, floor boards, pass. seat. cosmetic stuff. Fuel cell soon. Brake line redo, This one is COBBED bigtime... (think big dogs)

im exhausted, no shower in 3 days, should go to work tomarrow i guess.....

what are the specs on the coils what from,spring rate etc

Coils are "True Coil" aka speedway brand, 150# 13"

I used these based on a few test bounces when I had puke at my bros house, he has an assorment of coils for his dirt car.

I had looked at other brands and they are all with in $2-$3 of each other and of couse have a brand specific color :) I was order a bunch of junk from them and get them at that time...

Just to let you know we are planning on run on Nov 1st and 2nd at Tellico.

I will be staying at Tellico Cabins.

Right now we have Toy's, XJ, TJ's, Exploder's, and a Unimog going.

kimball's going !!!! sweet last he said he wasnt going... Hell i may have to jut ride along with him !!! Then again draging 3/4" winch cable sucks....

I'll have to see how i do this trip... Im so exhausted. my work is suffering big time. My house is not fit to live in...

We'll see, though.... I have been wanting to run some familiar ground as a good base line for the changes... Im running low on vaca days though so it would be a drive out friday/back sunday...deal-eo
