Alliance for America
Fly-In for Freedom May 19th thru May 23rd, 2001
Holiday Inn, Capitol Hill, 550 'C' Street, SW, Washington, D.C.

Please join us in Washington, DC May 19th through 23, 2001, for the 12th

Annual Fly-In for Freedom.

This year's theme is Access for All...

Access for All ... public access to land and sea, and individual control

over the productivity stored in our own private property, is essential to
a
strong country, vibrant economy and clean environment.

Why should you attend the Fly-In for Freedom?

Every private property owner and Federal land user is the target of
environmental
groups in one way or another. Land acquisition, Federal
regulations,
Endangered Species, and all kinds of other threats confront
all of us.

Usually when farmers or ranchers are attacked, other landowners, miners,

energy developers, forestry advocates, small businessmen and community

leaders sit on the sidelines. They often have sympathy but feel there is

little they can do.

When the ranchers or farmers are gone, then the target becomes one of the

other groups. Gradually small communities and our resource base are
divided
and conquered in a checkerboard fashion that Senator Orrin Hatch
has referred
to as "Cultural Genocide."

The only way to fight back is through networking and team play. The Fly-In

allows various interest groups to come together, learn from each other

about what works and what doesn't and work to build a private property and

Federal land use majority in Congress. By networking, sharing resources,

and working together, all of us have a better chance to compete on the

political playing field with the giant foundation funded environmental

groups who seek to drive us off our land, out of our homes, out of our

communities and into the cities.

The Fly-In is the best event each year for groups to work together. It
is
much better for several interest groups to combine in one powerful week
in
Washington, than to dribble out their effect by coming and going, almost

unnoticed by Congress by themselves in smaller groups.

The key networking days are Saturday and Sunday, May 19th and 20th. That

is followed by three days (May 21-23) of Congressional visits, special

group meetings with Members of Congress and special events set up for the

Fly-In. You can come for all or part of the program.

If you care about your job, you industry, your community, the Fly-In is

where you can learn how to fight back or tell others your success story.

Make plans now to be part of this terrific event.

No private property, resources or Federal lands group should fail to have

at least one or two people at the Fly-In. Share the expenses so you send

someone from your community. Don't let your group or community be left
out
of the process.

About the Alliance for America

Organized in September, 1991, as a broad-based grassroots network, the AFA

was formed in an attempt to curb excessive government environmental
regulations,
harassment by environmental extremists and violations of
constitutional
property rights.

The Fly-In for Freedom has become both a celebration of the principles this

country was founded on and a growing annual pilgrimage for Americans across

the country who recognize that without direct involvement in the democratic

process, we may never get those principles back.
