So, a friend of mine is looking to replace her rear drive shaft in her '86 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. She's was running the stock (lengthened) drive shaft with stock 1310 yoke. Well, the arms (if that's what they are called) broke off the slip yoke. She's been told by some folks to upgrade to 1350 yoke, but she's concerned about beefing up the yoke and sacrificing the NP208 T-case instead of the yoke. Kind of the "weakest link" issue. She does want to upgrade her gears at some point, but that's going to have to wait until she is rich and famous.
Any advice on selection of driveshaft yokes or where to obtain said parts? Thanks in advance!

Call Tom Woods. They will tell you exactly what you need and set you up with it. There's none better.

need some more info. lift? why was it lengthened? if it was lengthened wrong (out of balance) it could break. if you are running to much of an angle it could break. call tom woods he will ask u these questions and tell u exactly what u need. and most likely will tell ya 1310 is fine. thats what he told me to run and i questioned it. but ive been running it for 5 yrs or so without failure. also if ya got a bunch of lift it might be time to go cv.
