i'm looking to get a 454, and found one for $150, just the bare block...the guy selling it says it has a bad rod journal and needs a new sleeve, what would need to be done to repair it.....and is it even worth it, i'd have to have it shipped. Any help is great....not a engine guru, but learning!

That a pretty big a gamble for a bare block you've still gota get the rest of the stuff to put it all to gether and hopefully what is stated is all that is really wrong with the block. I'd keep looking

About every week I see at least one 454 in the mini ads here. running motor, here it run, $500.00
