: re 4.5 in la question

so i currently have the 4.5 inch long arm on my jeep 06 tj and i plan to lowering it (like everyone else) and i'd like to do it the simple way (just use smaller coils)

i talked to re and they said i can only go to 3.5

if i went lower, i'd have the change the f and r trackbars

but a guy on jeepsunlimited said he went with 2 inch coils and is fine

so is there anyone else here that has done it, and can give me more of a definitive answer?

i cut the threads on my front track bar when i went to 3 inch coils worked great :D

I doubt you will look at this thread again, but do you have any pics of the work you did? Or a finished pic to post up to see how it sits (poser pic)? Also a pic of the front controller arms and how close to the frame they get would be nice.

Also, where are there 2" lift springs for a TJ? I can't find anything other that 3's and 4's from vendors. I need either a 1" or 2" lift.

Old Man Emu have the nicest ride out of any springs I have ever used, they offer a 2 inch spring

BDS offers a 2" spring. I run them on mine:
