RedBullJeep 08-26-2009, 07:24 PM Gabriel,
Dallas will contact you but here's a shot of his buggy as it sits right now.

It could be masked black and the visibility into the vehicle is clearly BIG. Makes it great for capturing the talent on-cam. It is not exactly street legal.

Other than it not being black, not being a rover or land cruiser or bronco or scout or blazer, not being rustic/survivalists, and not looking at all like mad max, you totally nailed it!:flipoff2:

It can be flat black in a matter of minutes, even just a mask-job would work, Mad Max and Rover/bronco/blazer don't exactly mean the same thing, the panels come off + stick a shovel, a rifle, a ramp, some tires without rims, and whatever else you want on the cage to make it look more survivalist...the guy's got a ton of blazers/broncos/rover in his reach but they didn't fit what he needed...he's already been in touch with Dallas but hey, he's got a couple days and begger's can't be choosers :dustin: Remember, there was even a pretty much untouched sand rail in Mad max...
And BTW, it only takes a few minutes to bend up a few tubes, tack em on, and make it look even more outlandish ;)
Devil Dog 08-26-2009, 10:11 PM then it wouldn't be the vehicle itself.. sounds great for hollywood.. :flipoff2:
if your ever looking for some p.o.s. O.D. Green rig.. let me know.. you can just throw me a case of beer and I'll let ya have at it.. if you can figure out how to drive it.. :flipoff2:

Mr Vintage Machine 08-26-2009, 10:22 PM I've received some cool responses. everything has been a little different than each other.
It's Hollywood, use imagination. as my description says, there are all kinds of choices including "???" which usually means anything else you can throw at me.
Many times directors don't know what they really want until they see it. They'll call a donkey a horse as long it looks like what they think is a horse.:grinpimp:
SO, I'll look at all kinds of choices until the director yells out "That's it, that's the one!"
Thank you everyone!

We already tried that once and all it did was get me phone calls from governmental agencies. Are you sure we want to try that again? LOL!

that could be brought in as an offroad-only vehicle couldn't it? it'd have to be trailered to the trails anyways i'm sure...
DiscoDino 08-30-2009, 05:41 PM PT - next time we'll so with your lawyer buddy :D
Michaels - yeah, we knew, but I decided to keep it back home...aiming to build a buggy ASAP...

I'd wheel the piss outta that rig! :dustin:
BigKofJustice 09-06-2009, 05:27 PM Must be a cheap production or director. :flipoff2:
I can't see the original post but why not hire a concept artist on contract, and come up with an idea and get it approved by the director first.
Then get bids for fabricating something that meets your needs.
Of course the budget for that will run around 5-6 figures pretty easily.
Case in point, the Argo off road buggy made for Paramount/Star Trek Nemesis.
If you are renting, I know several normal channels where you can rent various off road vehicles in different configurations for anywhere from $500-3000 a day. Ranging from HMMWV's to an Lamborghini LM002, rovers, etc.
I don't know why you're hitting up the board here since there's already established channels for that.
For people not in the film industry, people get paid for this sort of thing.
This is why I'm assuming a low or no budget production looking for freebies. Don't fall for the hype.

Do all that in 3 days? And yes, he was an industry vehicle supplier with a history and understanding of that game. He just didn't understand the Pirate game. :dustin:
So yes, you missed the original post!
