Anybody out there have any experience with building a 4-Link on a ramcharger?

Here's why I'm asking:

YouTube - Airtime @ Sam's 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovNIrb8koWE)

YouTube - Airtime @ Sam's 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-IydlrTugQ)

I think it'd be faster if I could keep it on the ground. :shaking:

Maybe try the other lane that doesn't seem to have the bump in it? Bottom line, your springs are too stiff and the suspension is not working.

What's the fun in that? :)

I've been going to try taking some springs out, but got curious about building a 4-link, hence my original question.

I am working on building one now for my Ramcharger but, I have not started on it yet. I have all the parts for it now. If I get more information I will let you know.

Please do, I'm really interested to see how you do it. Have you ever seen it done on another RC?

Nope, I have never seen it done on another Ramcharger. I bought four FOA coil over shocks, all my brackets and joints came from Blue Torch Fab, 42" Pitbull Rockers and 17X9 Spyderlocks for the wheels. I also bought a T-case doubler from Off Road Design. I was trying to get this all done before our trip to Moab this Columbus Day weekend. I don't think that it is going to happen since I have never done anything like this. I am having to learn along the way.

It's been done. I'm pretty sure there are some pics and details over at RCC on it, but I can't remember who it is with the links. Post up over there and ask around.

I did a 4-link on my Trailduster a couple of months ago. I'll try to get some pictures in the next day or two for you. For some reason I didn't take any while building it. Just a heads up it's a lot of work and you're going to have to custom fab some stuff to make it work. I boxed the frame right where the link mount run to the frame and had to do some customizing to be able to use the stock skid plate again. I bought the truss and links and some of the brackets from KORE up in Tulsa, OK. I still need to get new shocks or figure some way I can use the ones I've got, normally they mount below the axle with the leaf spring hanger and and with out that plate they have to mount somewhere else.

i posted some pictures in another thread if you want to look at them, or I'm adding some to my on-going build thread.
