: Does this sound like a good deal?

I found a set (both front and rear) of F350 non-dually axles for 800$

I've been looking for a front D60 to match my rear, I know the bolt patterns are different but I'll be getting the rear axle in the deal too. Basically I'm just wondering if there are any negatives about the axles compared to running 70-80's era axles.

I'll do some searching on the web when I get home from work, but any help would be apreciated.

Thanks,
Richard

I run a front F350 single wheel 1 ton and it works fine, the rear should be a full floater and should be fine also, I would upgrade the rear to 35 spline and the front stubs also as they are more than likely 30 spline stubs but the inners should be 35 already

Any issues with the vacuum mechanism on the hubs? These are going to have that different 8-lug bolt pattern right? They are hub-centric and its a metric pattern?

I have no idea on Vacume hubs, mine had manual lockouts

That's a good deal on those axles.
I ran the same set with 40"s and never had a problem one.
A friend of mine also ran a set on 42"s and never had any problems.
The vacuum hubs never presented an issue.
While the bolt patterns were metric, I couldn't tell any difference wheeling them.

Here is a thread of mine on the build: http://www.rockhardxj.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1315

Yes pattern is metric, 8x170mm. It can be changed though Vacuum will not give any problems.

Same front 60 I have. I know just about all the in's and outs on the SD 60 so if you have any question shoot me a PM.
