thinking about swapping in some 2005 hd2500 rear leafs into my 87 one ton to gain a little wheel base and a better ride?? it will be used for towing my j##p and my 87 half ton once in awhile. the one one ton is a cab chassis truck that i am putting a crew cab 3+3 on and a short tube/flat bed. pros and cons of this swap????

Leafs are so easy, just play with it until you find something you like. Trial and error is the best method.

I agree try it out, I think it's a good idea. Then tell us about it. So then I can put it on my 84' k30 std cab long bed. I wonder if you'll get some lift out of it.

ill make the swap and see how it works. after a few trips ill give some reports. i am gonna use either diy4x or offroad design shackle flip so i prob will gain some lift. any suggestions for front springs i dont want to go to 52s cause its a hauler not a crawler.
