We just had a bladder made for our fuel cell for our KOH Buggy and I am not happy with how the fuel fittings are coming out of the bottom of the cell. I would like to see some pictures of how the outlet lines are coming out of your tanks.
Thanks,
John Gabriel

Did you goto Aero Tech? I had heard you were having issues.
We're using the standard Fuel Safe bulkhead on an Aero Tech bladder.
It's top mounted. You can see in the pic where the bulkhead attaches to the cell.

Yes, we did go with the Aero Tech bladder and the fuel safe top (we were having some leaking issues but jason at Aero Tech got it fixed for us)but the outlets for the fuel pumps are on the bottom of the can in a sump style setup. I am just not happy with how the fittings are just "sitting" in there. Any ideas or pics on what you are working with?
Dave, is your outlet in the top in the fuel safe plate?

Would it be possible to run a horseshoe clip or a full c clip on the fitting to suckit up tight to the edge of the cell?

Maybe a small bracket to clamp the lines to that would hold the fittings stable? Maybe a union on the cell and a bulkhead fitting in a hardmount bracket to hold it all stable? That's not an optimum setup no matter how you slice it.
1. that looks hookey to me as well and for the price of that setup I would be grumpy. with the way it is I see a lot of chaffing that will take place and failure will follow
2. why are you using hose clamps with XRP pushlock fittings ? if you need hose clamps with those then you did something wrong. not a good place to do half ass plumbing

I do not need the hose clamps there it just makes me feel better to have them on there. All the barbed fittings are clamped for safety. The horseshoe clip sounds like a good idea.

make a tab that is weled to the tank to help support lines as they come out of the tank, use a bulk head fitting and tighten the jamnuts to the tab then hook your lines back up.

That's a way more precise way to say what I meant. I think this technique would be the cleanest, most effective bandaid.
