I am looking at buying another cruiser project and the vehicle I am looking at has an interesting saginaw setup. The box is mounted on plate welded to the drivers framerail and the front frame rail at a 45 degree angle. The arm drops through another flat plate under the box and is about 6-8" from center. The vehicle is sprung over and shackle reversed with above the spring steering. The owner said he did this to avoid interference between the box and the spring. The vehicle has no motor so I cant drive it to try this setup out. My questions are: Does anyone have or know of this setup? Does it work as well as the in the frame rail version? Does it work well with articulation? Thanks.
Mike

Yes it works. That is the classic wardens design. I ran it on my cruzah w/soa and it worked perfectly!:skull:

Ranger,
Thanks for the quick response. I can now go to bed early and dream about my next cruiser.
