I have a 94 automatic cherokee with a blown transmission, it has the 231 tc in it. I found a auto with the 242 tc out of a 90 cherokee. The 231 was 2 electronic plug ins on it and the 242 just has one and what looks like a plug where a line screws on to. Is that for a cable speedometer sensor? I know the 231 is electronic. Does anyone know if the 242 will work and what i need to do to make it work. Or can i just swap the 231 over.
