do the lines come from the heads or the air pump? more than likely, both. toss the air pump and plug the lines off on the heads. then you will have to deal with the smog crap and a bunch of other crap. i would say not to mess with it unless you want to go through all of the emissions junk.

I have a 92 351 I rebuilt to a 357 and stuck some BBK shorty's on it. They had a fitting on the passenger side that would let me fab up a flex hose line for the EGR but it wasn't worth the trouble.

Take the EGR off and make a plate to block it off. Leave the bottom of it open to the egine compartment. It won't hurt it. Remove the AIR pump and measure for a smaller belt. All of those hoses and crap can be removed and plugged. As long as your sensors are plugged in and the vacuum lines are connected to something that is working properly then you should be okay. Unless you are like me and hate cats. If so, they have lines running to them that can be removed, as well the cat.

Only complete the cat removal process if you can afford to dish out 100 bucks for a sticker. It won't pass, I guarantee it.:smokin:

If it is a very small plastic line that runs to a tree on top of the intake plenum then you can remove the line and plug off both ends.

MAKE SURE IT'S NOT CONNECTED TO ANYTHING ELSE!

Sounds like you need a Chilton's manual. Never work on anything without reading about it first. Do some research and find yourself a diagram of everything.

Also, you need to remember, with this swap you're in for a world of headache when it comes to passing emissions and if you have to diagnose a problem on the truck you have so much stuff deformed that most mechanics won't take the time to pop the hood.
