Seems like some crow eating is in order here. What's the deal Adam?

Remember crow is always better warm than cold! :flipoff2:

Well, it's probably inappropriate for me to chime in here, but WTF. :flipoff2:

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I figure one of the following is happening.

1. Crow is out of season.

2. He's waiting for his father's check to come back so he can scan it and post it to show that he paid his $25 to the Blue Ribbon Coalition.

3. He hasn't read the thread yet.

4. He's just too damn embarassed to admit when he's wrong (been there, done that).

Since we don't have any of Josh's pics yet, I'll show some of the 'damage' that was incurred.

good job mike. i just read the other thread and it sounds like you had a fun time (not so much cooper though). congrats on the minimal damage, i am surprised in all honesty.

once again, good job. i will wait to see josh's pics (just for shits and giggles) before sending the $25 to the BRC.

next wager is on whether I could do it in a SIIA 88" locked f/r on 35x10.5s? :D :D :D

Between trying to scrape together the $25 he owes me for galvanized seat tracks and starting rumors about Chris Laws and I, I'd say he has his plate full :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
Damage looks pretty minor, Ive done worse to my diesel on tamer trails. Now lets see the rest of those pics!

Thanks 9V.

I don't have Josh's phone number or I'd call him and bug him about the pics.

I sent him an e-mail two days ago. I'll send another.

The ironic thing is, although you are surprized that I got through unscathed, I am not. Yeah, it's a tough-ass little section of trail, but I guess this is a lesson to not judge anyone elses truck/driving ability/trailtoughness before you know personally all of the variables.

That was NOT supposed to be a 'neener neener' comment, or an 'I-told-you-so' either.

For example:

Everyone is trying to get me to go to 'Cruces for the CC, but I'm too chicken to follow the 'big boys' on their '38's.

Maybe I could do it, maybe not, but who's to say until I get out there and try it?

Anyway I digress.....again.

Let's put this to rest? (unless I've stirred the pot with my last comments...)

willing to put it to rest because i fully agree with you :D

my opinions have changed greatly since wheeling again this weekend. it was one of those stress relieving/back to the real world kind of things for me. :D

Its a slow sunday evening, so this may not be earth shattering, and maybe a bit philosophical, but here is my observation. (BTW 9V don't take this personaly, your last comment just got me thinking)

Offroading has two sides. The 'shop' side and the 'trail' side. Most of us here enjoy both, while some lean more one way or the other.

I find for myself that if I cant make it to the trail, I spend more time in the shop, either researching ideas, making mods to the truck, or somtimes just keeping truck running. I try to make improvments to the various short commings and even track down various gadets and gizsmo's that offer solutions and add 'character'. This keeps me into the hobby, even though Im not actually out doing it.

When I spend time on the trail, I tend to overlook the short commings, and just have a good time. All the time spent trying correct castor issues, trimming to eliminate rubbing, or gaining a bit more flex here or there really doesn't matter that much. Its really about going out, haveing a good time, and driving over stuff. I guess what Im getting at is that for me the the tech aspect is enjoyable, but more tech, doesn't always relate to a better time on the trail. Give me a stock Range Rover on 205's and Ill still have fun.
