First off, this isn't a Dairy Queen truck lol, I HAVE had it in the mud, and in a few of the wider creek beds around here, and this looks like a nice site you guys have going here!
With that out of the way, the truck has less than 20hrs of 4x4 time. So I usually put it in 4H once a month and drive it for a few minutes, then I put it in 4LO and drive around the block, then back into my driveway and put it back in 2Wheel Drive, just to move some fluids and grease through the TC and the front U Joints etc.
Well, today was one of those days, and everything went just fine, until I tried to go from 4LO back into 2WD. I toyed with it for about 45 minutes, turned the truck off, back on, tried putting the TC into neutral, and back again, pulled the 4x4 Fuse out, turned the truck on and off again, then put the fuse back in, no luck.
I got under the truck, checked to make sure all the plugs going into the solenoids and sensors were plugged in good, saw no loose wiring.
I also pulled out the push-button in dash module, and unplugged it, as well as cracked it open, and found one, of the two larger LED's on the board was fried (unusual to find a LED fried) so I think this is my problem, just looking for some help from you guys, maybe you've got some other idea's or some tricks so I can verify myself what the problem is.
I'm not above some light DIY. Tomorrow I'm going to disconnect the battery cable for about 15 minutes, then reconnect and try to get it out of 4LO again, but other than that, and dropping about $60 for a new in dash module (Tues, gotta love breaking down on Labor Day weekend lol), I'm out of idea's.
When I try to get it out of 4LO I swear I can hear the solenoids trying to actuate, I'm hoping maybe the 4LO solenoid is stuck closed perhaps, from a short on that in dash board.
I don't get any service 4x4 warnings, or anything else funny going on at all, all the normal LED's on the push button panel light up in normal sequence etc, just doesn't make the change into a different 4x4 setting.
Thanks in advance guys, hopefully you can let me know if I'm on the right track, any help is very appreciated!
