: Ranger fuel pump issue

So I went wheelin this weekend and while climbing a pretty mild hill I bounced up and over a log about 10" across nothing big or anything but shortly after maybe 5 feet passed it I lost all juice to my fuel pumps both the high and low pressure.... The stupid obvious answer would be the rollover switch or breaker whatever you want to call it but that has been deleted for awhile now b/c of how many times I kept trippin it.
Also I ran a test light to the wires that ran to the rollover switch and Im not gettin any juice to where it should be either not sure if it is a ground wire or a power wire but throwing it out there in case its important. Theres also no blown fuses.
I also tried to just run the pumps straight off the battery which got me to where Im at now Im gettin fuel to the motor just not nearly enough and I have replaced the high pressure pump and was running it with everything from a 10amp-30 amp fuse.
Im pretty sure the fuel pressure regulator is shot but if someone knows whats causing my electrical issue that caused this or has had similar problems I would greatly appreciate advice as this is over my head.

EDIT: 2.9 V6 would be the engine in question in an 88 Ranger.

check to see if the injectors are pulsing or if its getting spark, if not check to see if pin 1 (i believe)is getting power on the computer, i have had the same problem. It was a fusable link between the silenoid and the computer, right off the silenoid. And i wasnt getting spark or fuel. if that isnt it(i think it is) check out www.therangerstation.com

the dual pump setup is bad for the bladder on the framerail getting sucked into and sealing up the fuel lines...do yourself a favor...cut all that CRAP out and just drop a 4.0L pump in the tank...

I think www.therangerstation.com has a writeup on how to delete it...or gut the canister at least...

I changed the (brand new)pump and Im gettin spark to the engine. When I tried squirting fuel straight in the throtle body she fired right up no problem and Im gettin juice to the injectors... HOWEVER Im not sure if they are pulsing or not. Is there an easy way to check the Injectors? Thanks for the ideas so far.

Edit: I did some reading on TRS and the relay should be whats causing my power issue to the pumps but it doesnt sound as if it would cause the engine to not run when the pumps are hooked up direct.

just switch out the relay, their cheap and if it doesnt solve your problem look at the big set of wires coming into the power distribution box. I had this EXACT problem once before, and it took me a week to find it. The main power wire in that harness that controls the fuel pump kept rubbing the bracket that the distribution box hooks to and I bounced one too many times and it cut it right in half, stopped me dead in my tracks. So when you hit the log, and bounced maybe one of the wires got snipped.

just my 2 pennies.

I swapped out relays and no change still no juice to the pumps Ill check the wires to the block.
