I'm looking to buy some air shocks in the near future. I have a '76 CJ5 with a healthy 454ci and 39.5" TSLs. The rear has a shitty four link and some coil springs and the front has leafs at the moment. I'm going to do one of two things....
1) Link the front with the air shocks and re-do the link setup outback using the existing coil springs, or
2) Replace the leaf springs up front with some quality stuff and put the air shocks out back.
I have decided on going with 2.5" air shocks (I searched :D) due to reliability and stability. My question is more geared toward the set up of the shocks. I will more than likely be ordering some 2.5" FOA's in the near future. Any experience with the FOA air shocks? Are sway bars a requirement? Or can most of the stability issues be solved with the oil/nitrogen set up?
Any input is appreciated. Thanks, Jon
