OK, not really. But I would like some questions answered about converting my '85 to power steering. I assume all I need is the gearbox and mount, crossover steering, pump and necessary hoses...correct? (I plan to order Sky's kit with everything included...just don't want any suprises).

The steering is what has been holding me up from starting my build. I was supposed to go weld up the axles today, but being Labor day and the fact that my inspection and tags are out on the 'Yota...I didn't want to take a chance. After that, a 4-5" lift, flatbed, twin-stick (or doubler) and eventually a V8, 1/2-ton axles (hey, they're free), and gears.

Also, Sky is listed as a sponsor, but yet their last post date was back in April. What gives? They get a new username or what? Just wondering if we get a discount on price or shipping or what

You should search, there is more to it than that. One part in particular people forget about - the added crank pulley.

Call 'em and ask them yourself :p

Craigslist or junkyard would be cheaper and local...

That is where Skyler gets his stuff to sell to you.... and you pay for shipping (steering gears are heavy)

I searched for 3 hours last night and finally came up with a complete list. Suprisingly, I did know about the crank pulley. Thanks though.

I searched CL and came up with nothing in parts or even a complete truck for a few hundred. I haven't tried the local junkyards (they suck), as they didn't even have common '73+ Chevy parts...I doubt they will have 'Yota stuff. I'll give 'em a shout tomorrow however...
