okay, we've beat to death the golfball/bb's/Equal internal balancing for tires, but the water in the tire thread sparked a thought.

Would oil inside the tires work the same way as these other substances??? or would it absorb into the tires?

I would assume that the oil may break down the rubber of the tire over time.

We used to have a garden tractor with some sort of liquid in the tires. These were real stiff aggy tires though.

Wonder what was used in that.
Petroleum distillates tedn to break down rubber.
I got 11$ worht of BB's, and a small scale to wiehg em out...gonna try that route.

IF it doesnt work...no harm done really.

That other post got me thinking......how about a little water? Seems to me that it might work? What do ya think?

If not water (due to rust) how about that green slime shit. They sell it at harbor freight for cheap.

originaly posted by 4BANGLER in THE OTHER THREAD!

By the way, you think water in the tire is bad for the tire and rim, try oil, a buddy filled a low tire from some hilrod's home made compressor and broke it down about a month later to find it was covered in oil on the inside, the rim was fine but the tire was about to rot through, I can't believe it didn't leak. It burned real good on the bonfire though.

did you even read that other thread??

Hey, what about recycled silicon breast implants inside the tires for balancing? Or how about live Chickens? Or Jell-O? I think Jell-O might be the next "How come my 42" Super Swampers vibrate at 90mph on the expressway?" solution of the week. Extensive tests have been done on the material, which seems impervious to almost anything, check it out

The properties of Jell-O (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=80415)

How about Vegatable oil instead of a petrolium distalate??? I've heard of people using it as a natural tire dressing:confused:

Naw, I just thought that Jell-O testing was some funny-ass shit.

Natural tire Dressing? Don't tell me the Eco-Hippie-Nazi's are building show cars or lowriders now. Next thing you know they be trying to sell free range tire balancing chickens. Damn Hippies.

A sodium solution, IIRC.

Water in tires used at speed DOES cause severe out of balance conditions comparable to death wobble. It does NOT act like bb's, golf? balls or equal.

Live chickens on the other hand.........the main problem being gathering all the feathers everytime you blow a bead.

I keep ma feathers numbud for just such occasions

LOL, there'd be feathers mixed in with the little dust cloud when you blow a bead. I like it! :D

A guy in our club uses rv antifreeze ( the non-toxic pink stuff you put in the toilet). He uses it in his daily driver with good results.
