There are several important land management meetings coming up. Please try to attend if at all possible.
WEST MOJAVE MANAGEMENT PLAN (WEMO)

According to the WEMO website, this meeting is a "Public meeting to discuss OHV route network". It is assumed that this will be the meeting that WEMO Project Manager, Bill Haigh, promised would include a court recorder to take official public comments for the record.

James Jeffords' defection from the Republican Party could have a big impact on the High Desert, in the opinion of federal, state and county elected officials from this region. San Bernardino County First District Supervisor Bill Postmus, Assemblyman Phil Wyman, R-Tehachipi, and U.S. Rep. Jerry Lewis, R-Redlands all agree - Jeffords' switch will affect the High Desert.
