I have a '77 Chevy k20 4wd truck with the stock saginaw steering box. After many years of leaking (don't they all?), I finally decided to replace the seals. I took the box out and put in new seals from NAPA on the selector shaft and the the stub shaft. Every thing seemed to go fine except when I was removing the adjuster plug, the stub shaft and valve assembly came out with it. I assumed (you know what they say about assuming) that the stub shaft would only go back in the the correct way- so I put it back and everything seemed to go back together fine. BUT now I have NO power steering. I have taken the ajuster plug back out thinking the problem is with the valve assembly, but I can not remove the valve or stub shaft now. It is loose, but does not come out. I am completely baffeled as to what is wrong. The lines are deffiantly in the correct places. Anyone have any ideas? How about detailed diagrams of the box or instructions for rebuilding? I have the Chevy shop manual, but it is of no help. Many thanks-
Pete
